Forget the hand, what's up with Kenneth's hat? Maybe the hand was a decoy?

Notice the brown spot on his cap? You know, the one where he's touching in this picture...

Just as people now say fans were naïve to accept Sosa and McGwire's late-career power explosion as perfecty legit, I think people should be wary of Roger's recent post-season playoff upswing.

The guy goes from a career postseason ERA of 6+ to sudden shutting down the Yankees/Cardinals/Athletics to the tune of 23 scoreless innings AND all this video evidence proves he's using foreign substances on his hand? Man, I hope Tigers fans do the right thing and run his cheating ass out of town.
23rd-Oct-2006 08:43 pm (UTC)
Though I'm a Cardinals' fan, I hope the Cards win also for baseball not to have a tainted champion.

well that explains how he remained so effective after wiping his hand off. That makes me so angry.
24th-Oct-2006 11:43 am (UTC) - That and..
The "stuff" he used is petroleum based so even if he washed the "brown" off the tacky was still on his hand just not visible. It's like tree sap you wash the "clump" off but your hand is still sticky for 10 months.
24th-Oct-2006 01:59 pm (UTC) - Re: That and..
How do you know it was petroleum based?

Are you saying Rogers is on steriods? In my opinion that's a lot more serious than some pine tar on his pitching hand. Still, it makes some sense, 41 is fucking old to be throwing a game in MLB.
24th-Oct-2006 02:19 pm (UTC)
No, I'm saying it's possible he's using pine tar. The steroids were analogy to what other players have used to help themselves. Either way, it's giving one an unfair advantage.

I've noticed the hat thing for a while. Thanks to HD I could tell the hat was BP becuase of the fabric and texture of the hat.

I want to laugh. He wiped/washed/etc the brown spot off his hand. He continued to touch his cap. The brown spot didn't reappear.
24th-Oct-2006 01:01 am (UTC)
If he used less, it's wouldn't be so apparent.
23rd-Oct-2006 09:56 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not quite buying this yet.

This made me laugh:

That picture doesn't do much to account for Game 1.
24th-Oct-2006 01:22 pm (UTC)
Which is why it's a best of seven series.....
24th-Oct-2006 07:14 pm (UTC)
But the Tiger needs some scratch marks on his face.
24th-Oct-2006 07:35 pm (UTC)
I'll grant you that, but I think any changes should be reserved until the END of the series. Because logically, a tiger does have an advantage over a cardinal. And if the cardinals win, perhaps the bird could have some reins and a saddle?
30th-Oct-2006 03:03 pm (UTC)
If you look, you'll see a noose around the tiger's neck. But before you get mad a LaRussa, that was tossed to him by a fan in the crowd, not something he did himself.

Find a picture of the back of Bobby Jenks cap, and I'm a damned whitesox fan.
